Which site is the best for downloading free PC games?

Here are some trustworthy repack sites to download from.

  1. CorePack
  2. BlackBox
  3. FitGirl repacks
  4. RG Mechanics
  5. Xatab
  6. SEYTER
  7. Darck Repacks
  8. Asaya
  9. Maxagant
  10. RG catalyst

I see that most of the answers are around sites that might not be all that legal. So as a fellow gamer and some one who has already gone through all the sites as mentioned below, I will suggest you to go legit and get games from steam. The new ones can be pretty costly but they too have a price discount during Steam Sale. I would like to mention what are the benefits one gets from getting legit games
  1. Games stay in your library once bought and can be downloaded at one's convience. Once downloaded it can be used in any system if it runs steam client logged in to your account.
  2. Since the games are not pirated if any issues after installing one can get refund easily and also get support.
  3. Tons of indie games on Steam which are worth a shot.
  4. The ease of mind that the game downloaded is indeed what it says. I had faced a few instances where cracked game downloaded did not work or else was infected with virus or malwares.
I can go on and on about the benefits. Cons would be that the new releases will be too costly from an Indian point of view. Also you would need to run the steam client atleast once for a fresh game. If steam client has issues that may disturb with gaming, although such incidents are negligible.
So as I was saying go legit and have fun without worrying about anything.

There aren’t, to my knowledge, many websites dedicated to mirroring and/or indexing freeware games - the ones that are there tend to be far from exhaustive, so I can’t really point you to any single specific site as a definitive resource.
  • Reloaded used to be good, but it dwindled down and it looks like all they are posting about these days is mobile crap.
  • PIRATE KART DOT COM is an ironically named series of freeware game compilations ( NOT related to video game piracy, though named after unlicensed “pirate” cartridges for early home consoles)
  • Adventure Game Studio has a list of adventure games produced using the engine - many of them are freeware, so if the genre is to your liking you might want to check that out.
  • RGB Classic Games focuses on freeware and shareware DOS titles, making it a worthwhile resource if you’re looking for retro stuff.
  • GOG.com offers a number of games for free, and occasionally runs promotions where they give out more titles (sometimes several at once).
  • Steam offers a number of freeware and F2P titles, but the games can only be downloaded through Steam’s client rather than directly, as you asked for.
In general, when you are looking for freeware games, nine times out of ten the only place to get them from is the author’s website - if it’s still online at the time - and there is no way for me to give you a complete list of such games within a reasonable amount of time - there are just FAR, FAR too many. For a few specific game recommendations, have a go at Another Metroid 2 Remake,Alien Assault (mirror, official website & forum went down some years ago), and the white chamber
However, apart from the repositories I listed earlier, there are also indexes of freeware games that you can use to find titles that fit your preference:

  1. Steam: Welcome to Steam
  2. GOG: GOG.com
  3. Green Man Gaming: Buy Games, Game Keys & Digital Games Today
  4. Gamer’s Gate: Buy and download games for PC now
  5. Direct2Drive: Customer Service | Portal
  6. HumbleBundle: The Humble Store: Great games. Fantastic prices. Support charity. (definitely recommended, but you need steam for most games or other clients, its basically a game key store)

Not the best, but if you want something different and don’t care about DRM handling your game, then the following can also do the job:
  1. Origin: Origin
  2. uPlay: Home - Uplay
  3. Battle.net: Download Clients (Only for blizzard games)
  4. ithio: http://itch.io (for indie games)

Gives paid games for free - You mean give that game license not pirating right?
